The first year of Code For Romania's Civic Labs Research Program is drawing to a close and will present its findings on a weekly basis for each of the six domains of study, Starting with the 25th of February.
After talking to all the relevant actors in the field and identifying the most important pain points for the six areas of study (Health, Education, Environment, Civic Engagement, Vulnerable groups and Transparency) we have built the most effective digital solutions possible in order to ameliorate or completely solved the issues we identified. We have come up with over 70 digital solutions which we hope you will discover at our six weekly meetings:
- February 25th - Transparency // Open data and Open Legislation;
- March 3rd - Environment // Disaster Relief and Response;
- March 10th - Vulnerable Groups // Domestic Violence;
- March 17th - Education // Teacher's Training;
- March 24th - Health // Mother and Child Healthcare;
- March 31st - Civic Engagement // Elections.
The number of seats is limited for each debate so please book ahead of time at this link.
With each event we will also launch the new subdomain for the Civic Labs 2020 Research cycle.
The way Civic Labs works means that after the research and solutions phase we will be actively searching for NGOs to adopt and administer the solutions as well as find sponsors to finance their development. The event is therefore free and equally open to members of the civic society, business environment and the public.
A big thank you to all 2019 Civic Labs Strategic Partners, such as the Vodafone Romania Foundation and Lidl Romania, field-of-study sponsors like Avon as well as to strategic sponsors join ing or continuing in 2020 such as Lidl Romania or who have opted to sponsor one of our most important fields, such as the Vodafone Romania Foundation.
